Grand Kerala Shopping Festival wins Special Jury Award at Pepper Awards 2009

The PR campaign for Grand Kerala Shopping Festival won the ‘Pepper 2009’ Special Jury Award (Gold) in the ‘PR and Integrated Branding Campaign’ category.

South India’s top advertising awards, Advertising Club of Cochin’s ‘Pepper Awards 2009’, were given away on 28 March at the Le Meridian Hotel and Convention Centre, Kochi. Over 1000 entries were fielded in different categories from leading advertising agencies all over South India. The PR campaign for the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival, was done by Ad-India.

According to the jury, the agency’s work was successful in giving the Shopping Festival
maximum reach, as the government’s initiative was successfully communicated
throughout the length and breadth of Kerala. This was made possible through the
agency’s effective collaboration with the media. The PR exercise enhanced the shopping festival’s image, and made it more appealing and interesting to the public and the media. The effect was positive and went a long way in building the brand of Grand
Kerala Shopping Festival

The jury comprised of celebrated creative directors from leading international agencies -
Prathap Suthan, National Creative Director, South West Asia, Cheil Worldwide; Josy
Paul, Chairperson and National Creative Director, BBDO India; and Sajan Raj Kurup,
Chairperson and Chief Creative Officer, Creativeland Asia. Mudra South bagged the
“Agency of the Year” award, and Mathrubhumi was named “Advertiser of the Year”.
